Overview of Role

Halfway Hino Trucks, Honeydew, based in Gauteng has a vacancy for a Diesel Technician.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for improving workshop productivity and efficiency by delivering competent technical, diagnostic, and vehicle repair services. Key responsibilities will include.  Accurately diagnosing and repairing vehicles within reasonable timeframes while maintaining high-quality workmanship that exceeds customer expectations. Demonstrating sound technical knowledge and effectively performing all duties associated with the role of a Vehicle Repair Technician. Adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations when operating machinery, equipment, and tools. Providing assistance to other staff members within the Service Department as required by operational and business needs.

Qualification

The successful candidate must possess a Grade 12 certificate, a relevant Trade Test certificate (Red Seal), and a valid Code 8 driver’s license.

Experience

The candidate must have a minimum of three (3) years’ post-qualification experience, including relevant experience within a dealership environment.

Experience in the servicing, diagnosis and repair of trucks within a dealership environment will be essential.
