Overview of Role

Halfway Geely Kokstad is seeking a reliable and hardworking Repair Shop Assistant to support the daily operations of our dealership workshop. The successful candidate will assist technicians with general workshop duties, maintain a clean and organised working environment, and ensure tools, equipment, and materials are handled correctly.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Assist technicians with general workshop and repair duties.

• Prepare vehicles and work areas for repairs.

• Assist with moving vehicles within the workshop when required.

• Fetch and deliver parts, tools, and equipment.

• Keep the workshop, tools, and equipment clean and organised.

• Assist with loading, offloading, and handling workshop materials.

• Follow workshop safety procedures and company policies.

• Report damaged tools, faulty equipment, and safety hazards to the supervisor.

• Assist with other reasonable workshop duties as required.

Qualification

The successful candidates must have matric/grade 12, technical knowledge and must have a valid driver's license.

Experience

The successful candidates must have basic working knowledge of automotive parts and service of at least 2-3 yeaars in a workshop, Some experience with vehicle diagnostics and problem-solving. The candidate should be able successfully work in a team setting and coordinate their activites with other technicians.

The role requires excellent attention to detail, both in providing support to lead technicians and gaining familiarity with repair and maintenance practices for career advancement.
