A vacancy has arisen for a Fleet Manager at Hambanathi Vehicle Rentals, Midrand.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following: Ensuring an optimal Fleet that is in a condition that meets the rental standards set by Management, that is maintained according to the guidelines set by management, and that meets all safety standaardds as set by management; Ensuring that regular maintenance of the fleet is carried out according to schedules put in place; Ordering and arranging urgent or emergency repairs as required; Managing the vehicle license and registration process; Ordering and arranging body repairs, price negotiation, and implementation of standards and procedures relating to the control of panelbeaters;Interacting with clients, both internal and external, to ensure that SLA terms are protected and that client relations remain a top priority; Ensuring sufficient vehicle availability to meet rental demand; Fleet demand and forecast planning; Providing reports to management on budgeting, schedules, maintainence and fleet strategy; Developing methods to drive a decrease in costs and improve efficiency; Working with the Branch Manager and Operations Manager to ensure utilisation targets are achieved; Management of the Fleet Department staff to ensure minimal vehicle downtime and efficiency.
The successful candidate should have a minimum of a Grade 12, a qualification in Business and/or Fleet Management would be advantageous, must be computer literate and have a valid driver's licence.
The successful candidate must have at least three years experience in a management position where they have managed a fleet in excess of 500 vehicles. Preferrence will be given to candidates who have both fleet management and vehicle technical qualifications, as well as candidates who have experience in the vehicles rental indusrty.
The successful candidate should have strong leadership/management skills, be detail orientated, be a team player, that is able to work under pressure and have excellent communication skills.
