A vacancy has arisen for a Service Advisor at RIS Vehicle Hire Empangeni. To ensure on rent vechicles are serviced, authorised and completed. To ensure that returned cars are inspected for damage, areas of concern are highlighted and all necessary information relayed to the fleet department.
Monitor the service tracking system to identify when vehicles that are less than 1000km from service interval, contact clients to inform them of service due. Receive and follow up on quotations. Compare service history quotations, to allocate expenses to warranty, and service plan. Report irregular wear and tear, client abuse, warranty, and descrepancies to fleet manager. Authorise services and mechanical repairs. Ensure ongoing communication with client to manage client expectatins. Arrange for collection and deliveries. Inspect all returned vehicles for damages, physically mark and photograph the vehicle and damages. Compile reports together with photographs and standard check sheet, communicate damages, services or other requirements with relevant role players for authorisation and book vehicles for on-site services. Conduct yard walk to identify vehicles for sale, allocating repairs to panel shops / suppliers, request , receive and follow up on quotations. Load and advertise vehicles on auction / tender system. Get a job card from tracker to remove and return tracking units. Ensure that all invoicing and documents are complete and submitted.
The ideal candidate should have grade 12 / matric, a Technical Certificate or equivalent experience, and a valid driver license.
A minimum of 2 years fleet experience. Existing client base will be an added advantage.
Strong customer service attitude / orientation. Must be willing to work weekends, publich holidays, and extended hours.
