A vacancy has arisen for an Evaluator/Buyer at Hey Halfway Fourways. We are looking for a skilled and detail-orientated candidate to assess, value, and acquire quality pre-owned vehicles for our dealership. This role requires a keen eye for vehicle conditions, market trends, and pricing to ensure profitable acquisitions. The successful candidate will have experience in vehicle evaluations, negotiations and supplier relationships while maintaining accuracy and professionalism in all transactions. 

The successful candidate will be required to perform the following: Vehicle Evaluation and Inspection; Conduct thorough inspections of used vehicles to determine mechanical, structural,and cosmetic condition. Assess mileage, service history, accident history, and overall wear and tear. Identify potential reconditioning or repair costs to determine true market value. Vehicle Purchasing and Negotiation: Source and purchase pre-owned vehicles from trade-ins, private sellers, wholesalers, and auctions. Negotiate purchase prices to maximise dealership profitability. Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, auction houses, and individual sellers. Ensure all purchased vehicles meet dealership standards and market demand. Market and Pricing Analysis: Monitor and anyze market trends, resale values and competitor pricing; Adjust buying strategies based on supply, demand and seasonal flactuations; and Work closely with the sales team to ensure acquired vehicles align with customer needs.

The successful candidate must have Grade 12, must be computer literate and have a valid driver's license.

The successful candidate must have at least a minimum of 3 years working in the field.

The successful candidate must be trustworthy, reliable and detail- orientated, and have great negotiation skills.
